Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for Cruelx digital reports, subscriptions, credits, PDF exports, white-label features, and other paid digital products or services.

1. Digital Product Delivery
Cruelx sells digital services and digital content. A paid digital report is considered delivered when the report is generated.
By purchasing a paid report, starting report generation, or checking the required agreement box, you expressly request and consent to immediate digital performance and delivery. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge that you may lose any statutory withdrawal, cancellation, or “cooling-off” right that would otherwise apply to undelivered digital content once the report is generated.
2. General No-Refund Rule
Unless required by applicable law, Cruelx does not provide refunds after a paid report has been generated.
This rule applies even if you have not yet read the report, downloaded the PDF, used the recommendations, or accessed all available paid features.
3. Technical Failure Exception
Refunds may be considered only where all of the following apply:
- a technical failure prevents generation of, or meaningful access to, a paid report;
- you contact Cruelx with enough information to investigate the issue;
- Cruelx verifies the issue after reasonable investigation;
- Cruelx cannot reasonably fix the issue, regenerate the report, restore access, or provide a replacement credit;
- a refund is required by applicable law, or Cruelx approves the refund in its discretion.
If a paid report is not generated because of a technical bug and remains unresolved for more than 24 hours after purchase, you may contact Cruelx. Where appropriate, Cruelx may provide a refund, replacement credit, regeneration, or another reasonable solution. Failed reports are not charged. If a failed report is charged due to a billing or technical error, the charge will be automatically refunded where technically possible, or refunded after review if an automatic refund is not possible.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Cruelx makes reasonable efforts to check whether a report can be generated before charging the user or allowing the user to generate the paid report. These checks may include website availability, basic crawlability, access, technical status, and other signals. These checks cannot guarantee that every report will generate successfully or that every website can be fully analyzed.
Refunds are generally not provided because:
- you disagree with the score, tone, cruelty level, burn, opinion, recommendation, copy rewrite, UX note, SEO note, or AI output;
- you expected guaranteed revenue, SEO rankings, conversion improvement, traffic growth, advertising performance, customer acquisition, brand improvement, or business results;
- you changed your mind after purchase;
- you submitted the wrong website URL and the report has started generating or has been delivered;
- you did not use the report, dashboard, PDF export, subscription, available credits, or paid features;
- you purchased the wrong plan but the digital product has already started generating or has been delivered;
- your website blocks crawlers, fails to load, restricts access, uses geoblocking, requires login, contains broken pages, prevents screenshots, blocks scripts, or cannot be fully interpreted by Cruelx systems;
- third-party providers, AI providers, payment processors, crawling tools, hosting providers, background jobs, or other infrastructure affect generation time, output quality, or availability;
- the report takes longer than expected, unless the technical failure exception above applies;
- the report is incomplete, subjective, critical, direct, harsh, or different from what you expected, unless the issue is caused by a verified technical failure that Cruelx cannot reasonably fix.
5. Subscriptions
If Cruelx offers subscriptions, subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past payments, partial billing periods, unused time, unused credits, or unused report allowances.
Subscription refunds may be considered only where there is a verified technical failure, duplicate charge, billing error, charge after proper cancellation, or legal requirement. Lack of use, change of mind, unused credits, or disagreement with report output does not automatically qualify for a refund.
6. Report Credits and Usage Limits
If Cruelx offers report credits, monthly report limits, agency credits, or similar usage allowances, unused credits may expire, reset, or remain available according to the plan terms shown on the pricing page or checkout page at the time of purchase.
Unused credits, unused monthly allowances, unused PDF exports, or unused white-label features are not automatically refundable unless required by applicable law or expressly stated at checkout.
7. Duplicate Charges and Billing Errors
If you believe you were charged twice, charged incorrectly, or charged after proper cancellation, contact Cruelx with the purchase email, order ID if available, and a clear explanation of the issue. You may also include screenshots if applicable.
Verified duplicate charges or billing errors may be refunded, corrected, credited, or resolved through Lemon Squeezy, payment processors, or other relevant payment providers.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund review, contact contact@cruelx.com and include:
- the email address used for the purchase;
- the order ID, invoice ID, or subscription ID, if available;
- the website URL submitted for analysis;
- a clear description of the technical issue, billing issue, or access issue;
- screenshots or supporting information, if helpful.
Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. Cruelx may first attempt to fix the issue, regenerate the report, restore access, provide a replacement credit, or offer another reasonable solution.
9. Refund Timing
Approved refunds are usually processed back to the original payment method. Refund timing depends on Lemon Squeezy, payment processors, card networks, banks, and other third parties. It may take several business days for an approved refund to appear on your statement.
10. Chargebacks and Abuse
You agree to contact Cruelx before filing a chargeback so that technical, billing, duplicate-payment, or access problems can be reviewed. Cruelx will do its best to help and resolve the complaint before any dispute is filed.
Cruelx may suspend or terminate accounts, reports, subscriptions, downloads, credits, or future purchases in cases of fraud, refund abuse, excessive refund requests, excessive disputes, improper chargebacks, payment reversal, or violation of the Terms of Use.
11. Mandatory Legal Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights, statutory rights, or non-waivable legal rights that apply to you under applicable law.
12. Changes to this Refund Policy
Cruelx may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the website with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of Cruelx after an update means you accept the updated Refund Policy.
